Frequently Asked Questions
Everything people ask before they book — including the questions worth asking any transport company, not just us.
How much does chiller van rental cost in Dubai?
A 1-tonne chiller van starts from AED 350 per day, AED 2,100 per week or AED 5,500 per month with a driver included. A 3.5-tonne chiller truck starts from AED 550/day, and a 7.5-tonne heavy-duty reefer from AED 900/day. See the full rate card.
Is a driver included in the rate?
Yes. Every standard rate includes an experienced, cold-chain trained driver and nine working hours. Self-drive is available on selected vehicles if your company has appropriately licensed staff.
What temperature range do your vehicles hold?
From +10°C down to -18°C on our standard chiller fleet, and to -29°C on freezer vans and heavy-duty reefers. We set the temperature to your product rather than simply running as cold as possible.
What's the difference between a chiller van and a freezer van?
A chiller van holds roughly 0°C to +10°C for goods that must stay cold but must not freeze — produce, dairy, flowers, medicines. A freezer van holds -18°C or below for goods that are already frozen. Same size, different job.
How quickly can you send a vehicle?
Same-day dispatch is standard across Dubai, and often within two to three hours if a vehicle is free. For regular routes we reserve a dedicated vehicle so it's simply there each morning.
Do you pre-cool the vehicle before collection?
Always. The vehicle reaches your bay already at your target temperature. Loading into a warm box is the most common way a cold chain fails, so this isn't optional on our fleet.
Who pays for fuel and Salik?
Fuel and Salik are billed to the customer at cost, with every receipt kept. There's no markup — they're passed through exactly as we pay them. The vehicle, driver, refrigeration, maintenance and insurance are all in the rental rate.
What areas do you cover?
Do you provide temperature records?
Yes. Temperature is monitored through every run and delivery reporting is available on request. If your quality agreement or HACCP plan needs it on every consignment, we make it standard on your account.
Are your vehicles cleaned between clients?
Yes, washed and sanitised. It matters more than people realise — seafood residue in particular taints every load that follows. You're welcome to inspect a vehicle before booking.
Can I carry fresh and frozen goods in the same vehicle?
Not safely in a single-zone vehicle, because it has to run at the colder setting and your fresh stock will freeze. We'd usually suggest two vehicles or a split schedule — tell us the loads and we'll work out which is cheaper.
What are your working hours?
Saturday to Thursday, nine working hours daily, with Friday off. Extended hours and Friday running are available as a quoted extra. Bookings are accepted 24/7 for contract clients.
Do you offer monthly contracts?
Yes, and they're substantially cheaper — a chiller van is AED 5,500/month against roughly AED 9,100 if you booked 26 individual days. You also get a dedicated vehicle and the same driver each day.
Can you handle intercity or long-distance trips?
Yes. Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, Ajman and Al Ain are regular routes. Intercity runs are quoted per journey rather than on a day rate, so you know the number before the truck moves.
What size van do I need?
Under a tonne with city drops: a chiller van. Pallet work or multi-drop retail: a 3.5-tonne truck. Over four tonnes or intercity: the 7.5-tonne heavy-duty. If you're unsure, describe the load and we'll advise honestly — including when the cheaper option is enough.
How long have you been in business?
Since 2008 — more than 18 years running Dubai's cold chain. We've worked with names like Al-Jabber and Spinneys alongside hundreds of smaller operations.
