Terms & Conditions

The basis on which we rent vehicles. Last updated: January 2026.

1. About these terms

These terms apply to vehicle rental and transport services provided by Refrigerator Transport L.L.C ("we", "us"), a company registered in Dubai, UAE. Where we've agreed a separate written contract with you, that contract takes precedence over anything here.

2. Quotes and rates

Rates shown on this website are indicative and intended for planning. A quote we give you for a specific job is fixed for that job once you accept it.

Standard rates include the vehicle, its refrigeration unit, maintenance, insurance and a driver, for nine working hours per day, Saturday to Thursday.

3. Fuel, Salik and extras

Fuel and Salik (road tolls) are billed to the customer at cost. We keep receipts and make them available. There is no markup applied to either.

Hours beyond the nine-hour standard day, Friday operation, and intercity trips are charged separately and quoted before they happen.

4. Bookings and cancellation

Bookings are confirmed once we've agreed the vehicle, date and rate. If you need to cancel, tell us as early as you can — for daily hire we're generally flexible; for contract vehicles we'll have committed a driver and a truck, and the terms of your contract apply.

5. Your goods

You're responsible for telling us accurately what you're moving and what temperature it requires. We set the vehicle to the temperature you specify. If you tell us the wrong figure, we can't be responsible for what that does to your load.

Loads must be legal, properly packaged, and not prohibited under UAE law. We do not carry hazardous, restricted or illegal goods.

6. Temperature and liability

We pre-cool every vehicle before collection, monitor temperature through the run and provide reporting on request. What we cannot control is what happened to your goods before we collected them, or after we delivered them.

Our liability is limited to the value of the transport service provided. We strongly recommend that customers moving high-value perishable cargo carry their own goods-in-transit insurance.

7. Delays

We plan routes to arrive on schedule, and our drivers know Dubai well. We can't be held responsible for delays caused by traffic incidents, weather, road closures, port or free zone procedures, or anything else outside our control — but we will tell you as soon as we know.

8. Payment

Payment terms are agreed at booking. For contract clients, invoicing is monthly. We accept cash, bank transfer and cheque.

9. Damage and misuse

Where a vehicle is rented on a self-drive basis, the customer is responsible for damage caused during the rental period other than normal wear and mechanical failure. Refrigeration units must not be tampered with or set outside their rated range.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates, and the courts of Dubai have jurisdiction over any dispute.

Questions

If anything here is unclear, call 055 884 4722 or email info@refrigeratortransport.com and ask. We'd rather explain it now than argue about it later.
